Our Village is Strong Series💪

Family Glow Dance
Dress in your brightest neon colors and dance the night away on our black light dance floor. One night- two dances.
5-6:30 PM Elementary Family Glow Dance. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
7-8:30 PM Middle School Glow Dance hosted by the ASB.
Come enjoy drinks, snacks, glow accessories, and a photo booth. PayPal or cash will be accepted, 5 tickets for $5.

Share the excitement with your book-loving community! Let’s make this year’s Book Fair an event to remember! Join us and let your imagination take flight!

Catharine Blaine’ Book Drive Swap
Students can bring gently used books to literacy night and swap for a new-to-you book. For every book donated, you’ll receive a ticket and a chance to win a gift card. 5 lucky winners will be picked an announced the following day.
All extra donations will be given to Mary’s Place.

Blaine Cultures & Traditions Night
Thursday, January 30th, from 6:00–8:00 PM (set-up begins at 5:30 PM)
Join us for an evening dedicated to sharing, learning, and celebrating the vibrant diversity of our Blaine community!
There are many ways to get involved:
Showcase your heritage: Host an informational table featuring photos, items, flags, maps, or other representations of your cultural background. (Presentation boards are available!)
Share traditional food: Bring a dish that reflects your cultural traditions for others to enjoy.
Perform: Share a dance, song, or skill highlighting your heritage.
We welcome and celebrate both international and national traditions!

Winter Enrichment Enrollment
Registration for the Winter Quarter goes live on January 13th! Returning families can send enrollment requests through the Parent Dashboard by clicking Enrollment and then Enroll for 2024-2025.
To expedite the registration process, new families should complete the New Family Enrollment Form prior to registration opening.
The Winter Quarter runs from Monday, February 3rd, to Monday, 31st (8 weeks). After-school camp is only offered on days when SPS is in session.

School Board Meeting where the Board is expected to vote on the proposed school closures plan.
If You Give a Teacher a Cookie
Join us in a Blaine Tradition! The 10th Annual If You Give a Teacher a Cookie. Families are invited to prepare 2 dozen holiday treats to drop off at school. Our PTA sets up a Treat Shop for staff to come and fill up a box with their favorite things.
Please label & drop off treats in the Blaine office 12/16 after school or by 9AM on 12/17. Use a disposable container or pick up your container before we leave for break. Contact Kate B at Outreach@BlainePTA.com with any questions!

We'll be wrapping up our Giving Campaign with a festive family celebration on Thursday, November 21st, from 6-8 PM in the school cafeteria.
We need volunteers to help make this event extra special. Tasks include handing out drinks and treats, distributing bingo cards, and helping with prize donations. Elementary Curriculum Night
The evening begins in the cafeteria, where Mr. Gray and Dr. Fisher will provide a general overview about the elementary experience at Catharine Blaine. Families will then go to their child’s class (or classes), where teachers will have information available about daily schedules, what students will learn this year, class workload, and any events or outings that will happen during the year. Teachers will also have sign-up information for November conferences available. Students are encouraged to attend with their family. Classroom teachers might provide additional information about curriculum night in their regular messages to families.
